LPR hosting busy day of racing Saturday

COEBURN — Twin 35-lap Late Model features highlight the racing slate on a busy Saturday at Lonesome Pine Raceway.

In addition to Mod-4, Super Street, Pure-4, Pure Street and Iron Warrior events this weekend, the track is conducting its annual Faster Pastor Race. Pastors will run a seven-lap race with LPR making a donation to the church that brings the most fans. To be eligible, the church must bring 50 or more people and their pastor must participate in the race.

It's also Kids Night, which gives youngsters the chance to take a ride around the track.

Adult admission is $10, $8 for seniors, children 7-12 enter for $5 with kids under 6 admitted free.

Pit gates open at 2 p.m. with practice starting at 3. The grandstands open at 5 and race starts at 7.
