KINGSPORT — Rosemary Sexton, who swims for the Kingsport Piranha Swim Club, had five lifetime best performances at the Tennessee Senior Games in Brentwood and has qualified to compete in the upcoming Senior National Games in Ohio.

Sexton won gold in the 50 butterfly (46.42) and 100 butterfly (1:45.65), silver in the 100 breaststroke (1:53.95), 200 individual medley (3:47.00) and 200 backstroke (3:43.68) and added a bronze medal in the 200 breast (4:01.26) at the state Senior Games.

“I give a great deal of credit to Jorge Blasini, my coach,” said Sexton. “He told me from the outset that if I was willing to put in the work, I’d see results.

“I’m going to give it my best and try to swim strong and place well at the National Games,” added Sexton.
