Kingsport's Allyson Dunn leads 50th annual Tennessee Girls Junior Amateur

GALLATIN, Tenn. — Kingsport’s Allyson Dunn, who will be a junior at Sullivan South, shot an even-par 72 Tuesday to take a two-shot lead after the opening round of the 50th annual Tennessee Girls’ Junior Amateur at Foxland Harbor Golf and Country Club.
Allison Woodward of Johnson City was tied for eighth after opening with a 76.
Johnson City’s Addie Baggarly was tied for first in the girls 10-14 age division after shooting a 78 in the first round.
In the boys’ 50th annual Junior Amateur at Cleveland Country Club, rising Sullivan South senior Cayman Ratliff was tied for third after an opening-round of 3-under 69.
After a bogey on the par-3 sixth, Ratliff found himself at 1 over par. He rallied immediately by making birdies on three of his next four holes to move back into contention.
Grant Hirschman from Collierville and Jake Headrick of Maryville were tied for the lead with 4-under 68s.
