BRISTOL, Tenn. — Two former Elizabethton High School standouts were among the five new signees announced Monday by King women’s basketball coach Josh Thompson.

Reazyn DeMoss and Whitney Roberts were key cogs in the district and regional champion Lady Cyclones team that went 27-5 during the 2012-13 season and reached the TSSAA Class AA semifinals.

DeMoss averaged a double-double during her senior campaign, scoring 16.4 points and grabbing 10.0 rebounds per game. She shot 46 percent from the field and totaled 72 steals. DeMoss was an All-Three Rivers Conference selection in both her junior and senior seasons.

“Reazyn is a very talented wing player that can shoot the ball and put the ball on the floor,” Thompson said in a release from the university. “She has good size, strength, and athletic ability. We are very excited about her potential.”

Roberts also averaged a double-double, 11.0 ppg and 11.0 rpg, and made the All-Three Rivers team. She shot 84 percent from the free throw line and 54 percent from the field.

“Whitney is a player that can play inside and step out and knock down the 15-foot jump shot,” Thompson said. “She is a very hard worker and good rebounder. We are very happy to have her.”

Joining DeMoss and Roberts as new members of the Lady Tornado team were Latrayvia Antoine (Lehigh, Lehigh Acres, Fla.), Jalan Harper (Austin East, Knoxville) and Whitney Mitchell (Oak Ridge).
