Staff Report • May 24, 2013 at 12:26 AM

DeLAND Fla. — East Tennessee State's game against Mercer was pushed back to Friday after fierce thunderstorms forced another schedule change in the Atlantic Sun Conference baseball tournament.

The Buccaneers, originally scheduled to play Thursday night at 8:15, now will play Friday at noon at Stetson’s Melching Field.

Florida Gulf Coast and Lipscomb were slated to start at 5 p.m. in an elimination game Thursday, but the Eagles and Bisons began at 6:45. Then, with Lipscomb leading 3-0 in the bottom of the second, the storms forced the suspension of the game. It will be picked back up Friday at 9:30 a.m., followed by the ETSU vs. Mercer matchup.

The ETSU-Mercer loser will face USC Upstate Friday at 6:30 p.m. in an elimination game.
