BLUFF CITY — Ryan Flick wrote his name in the Sullivan East record book with a flick of his wrist — 26 of them, actually. The Patriots slugger sent three balls out of the park to break the school record for most career home runs and East beat Johnson County 14-5 on Monday to clinch the No. 3 seed in the Three Rivers Conference. Flick homered in the first, third and fifth innings to push his tally for the season to 14 and run his career total to 26. The previous mark of 25 was set by Greg Bentley in 1986. Flick finished 4-for-5 with six RBIs. Teammate Brock Burgess was 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and five runs scored, and Austin White went 3-for-4 with a homer for East (16-10, 9-6). Brady McGrew (3-4) worked six innings for the win and struck out 10. Daniel Helm had a 3-for-3 effort to lead the Longhorns, who will face East again Friday in the district tournament.
