KINGSPORT — Real men wear pink.

That includes fast men. Really fast men.

Cory Rowe and Kairi Thompson each amassed more than 100 rushing yards in the first half, and Sullivan North, bedizen in black, gold and pink, trampled visiting Unicoi County 48-12 to close out the regular season in style Friday night at Benny Compton Field.

“I was concerned coming into the game. Unicoi is a vastly improved team,” Golden Raiders coach Robbie Norris said. “I’m very pleased with the way we came out. We played well in all facets of the game. “Coming off an open week you never know if you’re going to be rusty or not. I thought we pretty much hit on all cylinders.”

Senior night merged with what North labeled “Pink” night — in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Fans and players embraced the theme, sporting every shade of pink imaginable.
