Under the rug: NASCAR, Ky. Speedway need to own up

The sight of so many people trying to cram into the sleepy Kentucky town of Sparta nearly two weeks ago was certainly something to behold. It looked a lot like Woodstock as more than 150,000 people tried to shoehorn their cars into a parking area at Kentucky Speedway that was never meant to hold half that many vehicles. As a result, thousands of people with tickets in hand were turned away without ever seeing a single lap of the first Sprint Cup race ever run at the 11-year- old s peedway.
