Former D-B stars venture back to J. Fred Johnson Stadium for annual football camp

KINGSPORT — Gerald Sensabaugh has no idea where his home field will be located in the upcoming NFL season.

On Wednesday, he was just happy to be back at home sweet home: Dobyns-Bennett’s J. Fred Johnson Stadium.

The talented safety was among several prominent former Indian gridiron stars helping coach Graham Clark conduct the annual Dobyns-Bennett Football Camp for seventh through ninth graders.

“It’s always good to come out here and give back and do what you can for the community,” said Sensabaugh, who had 71 tackles, five interceptions and two quarterback sacks for the Dallas Cowboys last year.

“It’s good to show kids that dreams can come true.”
