KINGSPORT — A 13-batter, 10-hit, eight-run inning cured a lot of ills for the Kingsport Mets on Sunday.

The K-Mets went on a hitting rampage to down the visiting Princeton Rays 11-2 in an Appalachian League matchup at Hunter Wright Stadium.

Kingsport (9-11) finished with 17 hits.

“It’s a funny game,’’ said K-Mets manager Frank Fultz. “I’ve been around baseball a long time and sometimes you see things you’ve never seen before.’’

The third-inning hit parade began with a double off the bat of Kingsport catcher Jeffrey Glenn. Yucary De La Cruz followed with an RBI single and the K-Mets were on their way.
