While clinging to a 16-14 lead, however, the Lady Cougars were called for being out of rotation. At the time, the point seemed inconsequential.
But by the end of South’s 24-26, 25-18, 25-14, 25-19 victory, that moment in the second game had clearly marked the turning of the tide. The Lady Rebels ripped off eight straight points to take control and Central never found a way to recover.
