Pressley hoping to bring back racing to Kingsport Speedway

KINGSPORT — Kingsport Speedway roared to life once again this weekend as the UARA-STARS took to the track. If Robert Pressley gets his way, racing at Kingsport Speedway will become a regular occurrence in 2011. Pressley, a former Sprint Cup Series driver, said he is in talks with track owner Joe Loven and hopes to complete a multiyear deal that will allow him to lease the track and bring weekly racing back to Kingsport. Pressley said the two are scheduled to meet on Tuesday and he hopes to have a deal in place before Sept. 1.
