Elizabethton's Jason Witten presented award for anti-violence work

Elizabethton native and Dallas Cowboy tight end Jason Witten will be awarded for his work to prevent domestic violence.

According to the Dallas Morning News, SafeHaven of Tarrant County planned to award Witten its Legacy of Men Award during a Tuesday breakfast at their Fort Worth Club.

Witten, also a former University of Tennessee Volunteer, is the founder of SCORE (Support, Community, Overcome, Rebuild, Educate). The foundation helps families in crisis rebuild their lives, and funds male mentoring programs in domestic violence shelters across the state.
