GATE CITY — Callie McMurray reached a major milestone on Friday.

Gate City’s senior forward recorded her 100th goal on an assist from Jamie Watts in the Lady Blue Devils’ 3-0 Mountain District soccer victory over Union.

Caleb Herron and Neth Gardner reached the mark with the boys’ program.

Ashley Carter assisted on McMurray’s second goal, her 27th of the season.

Watts netted the other goal for Gate City (9-1), which had goalkeepers Madison Grizzle and Katelynn Parton combine for the shutout.

Keeper Lexi McCray had 18 saves for the Lady Bears, who were outshot 24-4.
