Elections Administrator Donna Sharp is encouraging all Hawkins County voters to take advantage of early voting and avoid potential long lines on Election Day.
The Rogersville early voting location is on the first floor of the historic Hawkins County Courthouse, where weekday voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Early voting in Church Hill is in the Rescue Squad building at 351 W. Main Boulevard from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Both locations will also have Saturday hours on July 14, 21, and 28 from 9 a.m. until noon.
On the last weekday of early voting, Friday July 27, both early voting locations will be open until 8 p.m.
Sample ballots for the Aug. 2 Hawkins County elections can be viewed in the online version of this article at www.timesnews.net.
Voters 60 and older can request an absentee ballot, but it must be processed in the election office by July 26, so allow for extra time if you plan on mailing your request.
The mailing address is: Hawkins County Election Office, 110 E Main St., Rogersville, TN 37857
Voting machine inspections
Election Day voting machines can be inspected July 25 at 9 a.m. at the election office on the second floor of the courthouse annex next door to the Courthouse in downtown Rogersville.
