JONESVILLE, VA - Linis Winfield Begley, 74, Jonesville, VA passed away, Friday, May 17, 2019 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.

Mr. Begley was born in Scott County, VA on March 27, 1945, and was the son of the late Arthur Franklin and Maggie Lee (Vicars) Begley.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Gaynell (Perry) Begley, sisters, Ruth bohach, Lora Sue Cooper, and Jan Kurz, and brothers, Larry and James Steven Begley preceded him in death.

Surviving are his daughters, Tammy (Joe) Springen, Jonesville, VA, Penny (Michael) Egan, Gate City, VA, and Samantha Begley, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Megan Egan, Michael Egan, II, Katie Sullins, Clara Sullins, Melinda Sullins, Nevaeh Hampton, and Noah Hampton, sister, Loueda Dingus, Ft. Blackmore, VA; brothers, Gilbert Begley, Gate City, VA, Lester Begley, Ft. Blackmore, VA, Jerry Begley, Ft. Blackmore, VA, Perry (Sonja) Begley, Georgia, and Sidney Begley, Minnesota; special nieces, Vicki Egan, Margaret Harvey, and Amanda Housewright, and a special nephew, John Harvey.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon, Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Dockery and Rev. Lennis France officiating. Toke Hensley and Jackson Harmony will provide the music.

Burial will follow at the Begley Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are to be made to Gate City Funeral Home.
