Michael Lee Bacon

KINGSPORT - Michael Lee Bacon, age 68, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center.

He was a Veteran of the United States Military having proudly served in the US Army. He was currently employed at Eastman Chemical Company with 40+ years of service. He was a vintage automobile enthusiast and was a proud member of The Mustang Club of America. He was also an avid volunteer with his grandson T.J. Jones in the Boy Scouts of America. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rebecca Bacon; and parents, Clarence and Jimmie Bacon.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Deborah Webster Bacon; 4 daughters, Amanda Bacon, Alison Eaglin (Keith), Tina Rhoten (Jason) and Angela Jones; 13 grandchildren, Shaman Jones, Patrick Jones, Ashlea Eaglin, Kahlil Eaglin, Taylor Rhoten, Sophie Eaglin,  Isabella Rhoten, T.J. Jones, Joseph Rhoten, Wade Rhoten, Emilee Rhoten, Marcus Eaglin and Eva Eaglin; great-grandchild, Urijah Jones; and sister, Cindy Wallace (Tim); several nieces and a host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in downtown Kingsport. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 7:00 pm. Military Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 14, 2018 at East Lawn Memorial Park with American Legion Hammond Post #3/265 presiding. All those wishing to attend the burial are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:45 am.

The family requests for everyone who attends services of Michael Bacon to feel welcome to dress in casual attire.
