He was an avid auto mechanic and enjoyed spending time in his garage. Glen was a loving husband, dad, papaw, brother, and friend to all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wesley and Irene Bowen; son, Ike Bowen; three sisters, Inez Brooks, Ida Miller, and Ellen Colyer; two brothers, Carl and Mike Bowen.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lois Bowen; four daughters, Angie McFall and husband Joe, Glenda McFall, Clarice Powers and husband Jon, and Vicky Bowen; four sons, Brad Bowen, Glen Bowen, Billy Bowen, and Victor Bowen; step-son, Jack Cole; 25 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Fredia Mullins, Hazel Haycraft (Harold), and Diane Couch; three brothers, Fred Bowen (Brenda), Lynn Bowen, and Larry Bowen; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Pastor William Bowen officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Shepard-Bowen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12pm to go in procession.
