JONESVILLE, VA - Rose “Cecil” Kinder Glass, age 81, of Jonesville, Virginia, went to be with our Heavenly Father, Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at her home.

Rose was born in Jonesville, Virginia, on December 6, 1936, to the late William “Bill” and Lottie Gibson Kinder. She was a proud graduate of Flatwoods High School (Class of 1953). She was happily married to Don E. Glass on July 10, 1953, and celebrated 65 years of marriage. She attended Cedar Hill Christian Church and was a member of the Russell Chapel United Methodist Church.

Rose was a stay-at-home mother who was very loving and supportive to her family and friends. Being a devoted Christian, she provided outreach to her church, community, friends and family wherever or whenever a need arose. She loved working in her flowers - especially her rose garden where yellow was her favorite, as yellow roses were her wedding flowers.

She is survived by her husband and love of her life, Don E. Glass, Jonesville, VA; three children, Randal W. Glass and wife, Alicia of Maryville, TN, Michael E. Glass, Jonesville, and Karen Glass Carter and husband Charlie, Jonesville; five grandchildren were the center of her love and devotion that she so enjoyed spoiling, Austin Glass and wife Tressa, Devon and Cody Carter, all of Jonesville, Brandt Glass, Maryville, and Mason Glass, Jonesville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends that were so special to her.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 18, at Robinette Funeral Home in Jonesville. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Myers officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, in the Frazier-Glass Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Austin Glass, Devon and Cody Carter, Brandt Glass, Mason Glass, Seth Glass, Dusty Glass and Greg Glass.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Frazier-Glass Family Cemetery at Powell Valley National Bank.
