Norma Ruth Sells

ROCK SPRINGS - Norma Ruth Sells, age 94 ½, of Rock Springs, Tennessee went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 4, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Norma Ruth was born on May 30, 1923 in Sullivan County, Tennessee to the late Thomas Carberry and the late Naomi Jones Carberry. In addition to her parents and baby brother, Norma Ruth is preceded in death by her husband William R. Sells and sister, Anna Nell Armstrong. Norma Ruth loved her Lord with all her heart and was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a lifelong member of Double Springs Baptist Church and Fall Branch Baptist Church.

Norma Ruth leaves behind her daughter: Jeanne Holmes and husband Joey; two sons: Dean Sells and wife Janet and Tommy Sells and wife Janice; 4 grandchildren: Dustin Sells, Derrick Sells, NeKisha Thayer (Ben) and special granddaughter Courtney Tipton (Ryan); 7 great-grandchildren: Noah Tipton, BellaShea Graybeal, RyLee Sells, Savannah Sells, Waylon Sells, Jackson Thayer and Brooks Thayer and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until the funeral hour at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Norma Ruth Sells will be conducted on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. George Willis officiating and special music provided by Judy Smith, Larry Wallace and Chris DePew. She will be laid to rest on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Garden of Christus at East Lawn Memorial Park with Dustin Sells, Derrick Sells, Ryan Tipton, Noah Tipton, Ben Thayer and Alan Armstrong serving as pallbearers.
