Police: Johnson City man threatened to kill boyfriend, imprisoned him in residence

JOHNSON CITY — A Johnson City man threatened to kill his live-in boyfriend while keeping him from leaving their residence Wednesday night, police said, resulting in his arrest on several charges.
Charles Campbell, 48, 1604 E. Fairview Ave., was arrested about 10:30 p.m. and charged with aggravated domestic assault, false imprisonment, simple possession of marijuana and unlawful drug paraphernalia.
The victim, Winthrop Von-Seath, told police that Campbell made threats to kill him with a gun, tried to hit him with a baseball bat and told him, "I'm going to beat your brains out." Campbell reportedly swung the bat at Von-Seath but missed.
