CHATTANOOGA — A fugitive who was recently placed on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's top 10 most wanted list was captured Thursday in Morristown, WRCB-TV reported.

U.S. Marshals deputies and officers with the Great Smoky Mountain Fugitive Task Force arrested 31-year-old Nathan McCollum and transported him to Sevier County Jail, WRCB reported. He was being held without bond.

The TBI said Tuesday that McCollum was wanted on charges including violation of probation for attempted aggravated kidnapping, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, violation of an order of protection and several counts of theft.

Investigators say McCollum removed his GPS monitor after being discharged from a drug treatment program in Bessemer, Ala. On July 14, Chattanooga police and Tennessee corrections officials located his GPS monitor in Chattanooga.
