JOHNSON CITY — Police said a city man was arrested after officers said he cut his father's throat.

On Saturday, Johnson City police arrested Daniel L. Carr, 25, 1101 Afton St., after responding to a call of a domestic disturbance at that home address.

Police said that, upon their arrival, they saw a man bleeding from what they called "a small laceration to the throat." After speaking with the man, police said, they were told he and his son, who he identified as Carr, were having an argument that eventually became physical. The man told officers, police said, that, during the physical altercation, Carr pulled out a pocket knife and cut his throat. Police said witness accounts supported the man's interpretation of events.
