Kingsport Police DepartmentJune 16A "very drunk" man was urinating in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant, according to a caller, and "in front of children."A 911 caller claimed a woman had assaulted a man, then proceeded to "bust up everything in the house."During a fight on Dale Street, a man was allegedly "throwing kitchen chairs and a bicycle ... inside and outside." Twenty minutes later, dispatch received a second call, stating the subjects were "at it again."June 17Police were called to the bus station on Cherokee Street, finding a man "pacing" outside. When approached by an officer the man was calm, but an employee said he had been kicked off a bus for "cussing other passengers and the driver, and making threats." When questioned again by police, the man became "verbally abusive ... belligerent," and refused to calm down. Due to causing a disturbance he was told he was under arrest, which he resisted, forcing officers to wrestle his arms behind his back. He was then transported to the city jail.Police were alerted to a man causing a disturbance on Reedy Place, which included him choking a woman's dog.Sullivan County Sheriff's OfficeJune 16A man called 911 from a residence on Weaver Pike, claiming a woman had bitten his lip and left "a hole." When authorities arrived, the victim refused medical treatment, with an officer advising everything was now 10-4.A Kingsport woman told dispatch that "someone" was knocking on her door, but when she looked outside she couldn't spot them. She also offered that just yesterday her neighbors told her "she was going to die." Two minutes later, the caller reported everything was now fine — the prowlers turned out to be her parents.Metal fence posts were "sawed off" from a property in Blountville. The victim suspected the thief had swiped them for scrap.June 17Police were alerted to suspicious people on Boone Dam Road, who may have stolen someone's bag and cell phone. According to a dispatcher, the tipsters advised, "They have pop cans we can send off for forensics."Deputies responded to a Piney Flats apartment complex. It was learned that a woman, 46, had attempted to drive her father's vehicle from the location — without his permission — striking a neighbor's car in the process. The suspect admitted to embarking on a vodka binge nine hours earlier, stating she "had a shot every hour since then." While attempting to perform a sobriety test, "she laughed and stated she was high," according to the officer's report, "wanted to do the next test." She was arrested for DUI, joyriding and driving on a revoked license.June 18Police were advised of a man standing along VI Ranch Road. As vehicles passed, according to the caller, he would pull his pants down and begin "showing his private areas."A Piney Flats woman reported that while at a boat dock near her home — and accompanied by her son — she spotted two women sunbathing without tops. When she told them to cover their chests an argument ensued, then escalated to a third, fully clothed woman pulling the complainant's hair. The victim also claimed to have been hit in the face during the altercation. She could offer no specifics for the sunbathing suspects, other than they may live in her neighborhood, but provided police a name for her assaulter. She was then advised of the process for obtaining an order of protection.
