Delta, U.S. Airways cancel flights ahead of storm, TCRA announces

BLOUNTVILLE - Tri-Cities Regional Airport reported today that U.S. Airways and Delta have cancelled many flights ahead of the winter storm approaching the Southeast.

Passengers should check with their carrier regarding the status of their flights, said TCRA Marketing and Air Service Development Director Melissa Thomas.

"Several U.S. Airways flights are scheduled to arrive this afternoon, but will not be departing. The last U.S. Airways departure today is flight #4259 scheduled for 12:55 p.m.," Thomas noted.

Several Delta flights, she added. are delayed this morning. The final arrival for the day is flight #4991 scheduled for 12:40 pm and departure for 1:05 p.m. After these flights, no other flights are scheduled to operate today. These times are subject to change, Thomas pointed out.

Travelers can monitor current schedules by accessing the Airport’s website, TRIflight.com and clicking on Arrivals/Departures.
