KINGSPORT — Kingsport police are seeking the public’s help in locating a shoeless man who they say burglarized a local pharmacy last week for prescription medication.

According to the Kingsport Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. Feb. 5 at Berry’s Pharmacy, 1717 Fort Henry Drive.

Authorities said a lone individual was observed on surveillance footage taking a variety of commonly abused prescription medication from the pharmacy’s shelves.

The suspect had already left the premises prior to the arrival of police, although authorities did reportedly observe broken glass where he had forced entry.

The man could be seen wearing a heavy winter coat with shorts and no shoes.

The KPD is asking anyone who can provide information on the case to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at (423) 229-9429.
