Craigslist ad leads to Knox arrests, recovery of stolen school computers

An online deal too good to be true has led to felony theft charges against two Knoxville men and the recovery of several computers reported stolen last month from the new Carter Elementary School, authorities announced Monday.Kiarra Montrez Byrd, 23, and Victor Laroy Harrison, 35, were arrested by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office after allegedly selling a computer to an undercover detective, according to arrest warrants.A 21.5-inch iMac desktop turned up for sale on Craigslist shortly after it was stolen during a break-in at the school July 20.Read more at the Knoxville News Sentinel.
