A man threatened employees of a local nightclub with a box cutter after being escorted off the property, according to a police report.

Jimmy Ray Lewis, 27, 1025 Creekside Drive, Darlington, SC, was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault.

Shortly before midnight on Aug. 10, officers were called to Hog Wild Saloon about a man with a knife. When officers arrived, they found Lewis being held on the ground by Hog Wild employees.

According to the police report, Lewis was asked to leave the bar. While he was being escorted from the property by three employees, he became belligerent.

He allegedly turned around and said, “I got something for you,” and pulled a box cutter from his pocket and started coming toward them.

The victims pepper-sprayed Lewis, took the knife away from him and held him until police could arrive on the scene, the police report stated.

Lewis was placed under arrest and transported to the city jail.
