Ga. men allegedly caught with 900 oxycodone, methadone pills in Johnson City

An Interstate 26 traffic stop led Johnson City police Wednesday to arrest two Georgia men on drug charges after hundreds of oxycodone and methadone pills were found in their truck, police said in a news release.James Clinnie Casper, 66, Elberton, Ga., and Joshua David Power, 38, Winder, Ga., were spotted in a speeding truck in the westbound lane of I-26 near mile marker 25 about 2:15 p.m.Both Casper and Power told police they were en route to Kentucky from Georgia. Police brought in a narcotics-trained police dog to assist. Searching the truck, police found more than 900 oxycodone and methadone pills. Police estimated the street value at a minimum of $23,380.
