Man arrested after late night window knock 'to say hi'

July 14A deputy responded to a crash on 11W, where the driver claimed another motorist entered her lane and forced her into the median. A check of her license revealed it was revoked for DUI, she was arrested. July 15A man reported this son's cell phone had been stolen. After he called the provider to discontinue service, a suspect reportedly dialed the complainant's home and asked why it had been turned off. The man told police he had given the suspect permission to use the phone while at his residence, but never told him he could take it. A Rogersville woman advised that while she was out of town a 19-year-old man threw a party at her house, damaging a deck and busting a pool float. She said he also damaged the air conditioner, using it as a step ladder to access her roof and jump in the pool. Kingsport Police DepartmentJuly 15A man on John B. Dennis Highway said a woman pointed a gun at him, then went back into her apartment. She was allegedly angry because she, "believes he threw her property in the woods." July 16During an argument with his girlfriend's mother a man busted the window out of a vehicle.Sullivan County Sheriff's OfficeJuly 15A Kingsport resident contacted police after finding his yard being mowed by a next door neighbor, telling dispatch he didn't want the man cutting his lawn. A woman called 911 after a man — who had been drinking "all day" — attempted to urinate in a dresser. She said he had also fallen asleep with a lit cigarette in his hand, going into a rage when she removed it. July 17At 1 a.m. police were called to West Valley Drive, after a woman was awakened by a knock on her bedroom window. Outside she found her neighbor, who said he, "just wanted to say hi." He then walked back towards his home and the woman attempted to go back to sleep, but soon there was a loud "boom". When she went on her porch to investigate she again found the man — this time pointing a gun towards her home. The suspect denied leaving his residence when questioned by police, prompting a deputy to inquire about the fresh, wet grass observed on his shoes. He said he was mowing before it got dark. When three guns were found in his home he said he only, "had them out looking at them." He was arrested for aggravated assault. Someone called 911 on an unruly girl, 14, who was, "screaming and cussing...refusing to obey." The caller said the child's tantrum was spurred by her desire, "to go to Fun Fest."
