Two arrested on felony drug charges in Kingsport parking lot

KINGSPORT — Two men face felony drug charges after they were allegedly located outside a Kingsport convenience store with marijuana packaged for resale, cocaine and syringes. Kingsport police report the incident occurred Tuesday night outside 120 West Stone Drive. At approximately 11:30 p.m., Vice detectives approached and interviewed the suspects, Brian A. Cathey, 22, and Jacob A. Hourani, 18.
Upon receiving consent to conduct a search, police reportedly located packaged pot on both the men. Cathey was also allegedly found to possess crack cocaine and syringes.
Both the suspects were arrested and transported to the city jail. Cathey, of 4822 Memorial Boulevard, is charged with possession of more than a half ounce of marijuana for resale, possession of more than a half gram of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hourani, of 1017 Dale Street, is charged with possession of more than a half ounce of marijuana for resale.
