JONESVILLE — One person was arrested and another is being sought by Lee County authorities after methamphetamine was allegedly discovered Monday at a home in the Klondike community.

Lee County Sheriff Gary Parsons said Heather Lawson, 22, of 1847 Klondike Road, was arrested on a single count of manufacturing methamphetamine and three counts each of distribution of meth and conspiracy.

An arrest warrant was also issued for Billy Bowen, no age given, also of 1847 Klondike Road, on similar charges.

Lawson was arrested after members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Southwest Virginia Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at her home.

Parsons said authorities received the search warrant after making three controlled drug buys from the residence.

During the search Monday, authorities reportedly found eight grams of meth and numerous ingredients used to manufacture the drug. Authorities also allegedly found a large amount of synthetic narcotics.

Lawson is currently being held without bond at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Duffield.
