Police: Johnson City man tried to stab woman intervening in argument

JOHNSON CITY — A Lamont Street man was arrested Saturday on a charge that he tried to stab a woman who tried to intervene in an argument.

Karl Dixon, 40, 311 Lamont St., Apt. 1, was charged with aggravated assault.

A woman told police she was trying to calm an argument between Dixon and another man when Dixon took out a knife and tried to stab her in the stomach. He then began swinging the knife at her but did not cut her, police said.
