Innovation Academy Governing Board meeting postponed

KINGSPORT – Due to scheduling conflicts and to allow Kingsport City Schools and the Sullivan County Department of Education an opportunity to finalize FY 2014 budgets, the Innovation Academy Governing Board meeting originally scheduled for May 28, 2013 at 4 p.m. has been postponed. The date for the rescheduled meeting has yet to be announced.
The Board had originally planned on determining Innovation Academy student enrollment for the 2013-14 school year at the May 28, 2013 Governing Board meeting, including drawing for any available enrollment slots. This student selection has also been postponed, and will be rescheduled for a future Governing Board meeting.All student enrollment applications submitted by the May 24 deadline will remain valid, with no additional information required from parents who have previously submitted an application.
Kingsport City Schools is a public school system located in Kingsport, Tenn., serving students in Sullivan and Hawkins county.
