Ex-Bean Station officer charged with murder in pharmacy robbery, shooting

A former Bean Station police officer was charged overnight and is being held without bond in the killing of two people at the Down Home Pharmacy on Main Street, according to Grainger County Jail records.
Jason Bryan Holt, 37, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of criminal attempted murder and a count of especially aggravated robbery.
On Thursday, Holt was arrested for allegedly robbing the pharmacy and fatally shooting Stephen Lovell, the pharmacy’s owner, and customer Richard Alexander Sommerville. Wounded in the robbery were pharmacy employees Alexia Gail Wilson and Janet Collen Cliff, who were flown by helicopter to the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
