Update: Man in fair condition after being shot at Kingsport apartments

Wellmont spokesperson Jim Wozniak reports Charles D. Creadle remains hospitalized early Wednesday afternoon at Holston Valley Medical Center. He is currently listed as being in fair condition.

Detectives are investigating a Tuesday night shooting at a Kingsport apartment complex, where the victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds and a large amount of crack cocaine was allegedly located in a refrigerator.

According to an early Wednesday morning press release from Kingsport police, at approximately 10:30 p.m. officers responded to a report of a shooting at Allen Creek Apartments, 402 Allen Drive. At apartment 107 police found a man, identified as Charles D. Creadle, suffering multiple gunshot wounds from a 9 mm handgun.

Creadle was transported to Holston Valley Medical Center by Sullivan County EMS. As of early Wednesday morning his condition was not known.

While investigating the incident officers allegedly located more than 26 grams of crack cocaine in the apartment's refrigerator. The resident, Tiffani S. Conn, was subsequently arrested and charged with possession cocaine for resale.

Police say an investigation in is continuing, while a press release on the incident did not mention any potential suspects in the shooting. Detectives ask anyone with information to contact the KPD at (423) 246-9111 or (423) 229-9429.
