Flowerpot used to break into Sullivan County market

Police are investigating a burglary at a Sullivan County market, where the suspect used a cement flowerpot to break out a glass in a door to make entry.

The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office reports the incident occurred between 6 and 6:30 a.m. Sunday at the Short Stop Market on Highway 126. Several cartons of cigarettes were reportedly stolen.

Surveillance video captured a vehicle outside the market at the approximate time the burglary occurred. Anyone who recognizes this vehicle, or has information about how police can contact he owner, is asked to contact the SCSO at (423) 279-7500.
