CLINTON, Tenn. -- A Christian church-driven initiative could result in the national motto "In God We Trust" being placed on the Anderson County Courthouse.

According to The Oak Ridger (http://bit.ly/W1gALH), county Mayor Terry Frank will take the issue before the Anderson County Commission on Tuesday at its meeting in Clinton. In her report to commissioners, Frank said churches, businesses and individuals have agreed to fund the project.

Frank told the newspaper she supports the move.

On Nov. 1, the motto was placed above the doors on all four sides of the Putnam County Courthouse in Cookeville.
