Appalachian Power says outages should be resolved by Monday night

KINGSPORT — Appalachian Power (AP) estimated Saturday that all power outages in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia should be fixed by Monday night.

As of mid-morning Saturday, more than 6,000 customers were without power in Northeast Tennessee, while more than 3,500 customers had no electricity in Southwest Virginia, AP said.

Outages in the region peaked at about 128,000 customers, according to AP.
