Police were called to a disturbance at a Bloomingdale Road Store, where a 72-year-old woman told police her son took her keys and wouldn't' let her drive. He left before police arrived.
A suspicious car was reportedly, "going up and down Princeton Road looking in mailboxes."
A resident of Lawson Drive called police due to cattle getting loose from a neighboring property, then grazing on their azalea and blueberry bushes. A deputy advised the man of how to seek reimbursement for damages, while the police report notes there was no criminal intent in the incident.
A caller from Violet Street told dispatches that a man was, "wrestling a potbellied pig."
Hawkins County Sheriff's Office
A county woman reported being assaulted by her in-laws. She said it occurred when she visited their home, attempting to explain that she was going to take a "small break" from caring for her dying husband.
Kingsport Police Department
An employee of Walmart on Fort Henry Drive caught a woman leaving the store with two water filters concealed in her purse. Police arrested the suspect, who had been caught stealing from the store on five previous occasions.
