Price Less Foods to open in Weber City

Price Less Foods’ newest location will open Wednesday, October 31 in Weber City. The former IGA - located at 969 US Highway 23 South - has been converted to the new Price Less Foods banner a little more than one month following the opening of Price Less Foods in Kingsport. Price Less Foods is a cost-plus format, offering products to customers at no more than 10 percent above the store’s cost.“The Tri-Cities communities have fully embraced Price Less Foods, and we hear everyday from customers about how much they’re saving on their family’s groceries,” said Randall Tipton, regional manager for Houchens Industries, parent company of Price Less Foods and IGA stores located in the Tri-Cities area. “Our shoppers are serious about saving, and we truly feel Price Less Foods is the smart way for them to save.”Price Less Foods features an array of name brand private label products along with fresh produce and top quality meats. The products are priced at cost, and customers pay no more than 10 percent above the store’s cost.As with each Price Less Foods store that has opened before it, the Weber City location has added some much needed jobs in the community. “We have added approximately 30 new jobs at Weber City,” said Tipton.The Weber City store is Houchens’ fourth Price Less Foods location. In June of this year, Price Less Foods was introduced to the area in Johnson City. A secondlocation opened in Kingsport in September.Beginning Wednesday, Price Less Foods will be open daily 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. A Scott County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting will be held Thursday, November 8 at 1:30 PM to celebrate the grand opening.
