Police are investigating a Monday night robbery at a Kingsport home, where the 66-year-old resident was allegedly knocked to the ground and covered with a curtain.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. at 3301 Princeton Road. According to an incident report at the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, a neighbor of the victim called 911 after seeing a woman and two men run from the residence, enter a dark colored car and flee at a high rate of speed.

The resident told responding officers that a woman had knocked on the door and asked to use his phone. While she was on the phone two males allegedly walked into his home, with one asking to use his restroom.

When the man exited the bathroom he reportedly asked the resident where his money was located. The victim claims he was then hit in the face, knocked to the ground and covered with a curtain.

The suspects allegedly demanded money again, stating the resident would be harmed is he didn't comply with their demands. A police report says the resident directed them to a safe containing cash. The suspects also allegedly stole his wallet before running out of the residence, leaving the victim with bruises and abrasions.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office at (423) 279-7500 ext. 222. Tips can also be submitted online by visiting www.scsotn.com and clicking the tip submit icon.
