Anyone wanting to land one of the hottest tickets in town had better act fast.

Tickets for the beer tasting at Racks by the Tracks, the annual festival celebrating blues, beer and barbecue, are going fast, with less than 30 percent of the allotted tickets still available for the May 14 event in downtown Kingsport.

“We’re at 70 percent. In the four years, this is the fastest we’ve seen tickets go. Based on past record, we expect to sell out,” said festival organizer Kanishka Biddanda. “So we really do want to encourage all interested attendees to either go online and purchase tickets, or to stop by Stir Fry Cafe in downtown Kingsport or One12 in downtown Johnson City and pick them up before the day of the event.”

The fourth annual Racks by the Tracks will take place from 1 to 8 p.m., May 14, in the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce parking lot along East Main Street in downtown Kingsport.

Admission to the festival itself is free. However, tickets for the beer tasting are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event.
