A Sullivan County woman was arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in the arm with a steak knife.

Angelia Swecker, 28, of 2142 Highway 126, apartment No. 1, Bristol, Tenn., was charged with aggravated domestic assault and transported to the Blountville jail. Police say her boyfriend, 32, called central dispatch to their home at 6:20 a.m.

According to a Sullivan County Sheriff's Office arrest report, the alleged victim was asleep when Swecker poured a glass of water on his head, waking him up. Swecker allegedly began yelling at the man, hitting him in the head and face.

The victim told police he got up an attempted to restrain Swecker, with the conflict spilling into their kitchen. That's where Swecker allegedly grabbed a steak knife and stabbed him in the right upper arm.

The responding officer says statements and evidence at the scene prompted Swecker's arrest. The report did not specify what may have prompted Swecker's alleged behavior, or the extent of the alleged victim's wounds.
