Shortly after Jimena Navarrete was crowned Miss Universe on Monday night, a Bristol woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend and calling him, "a Mexican lover."

Cora Lee Thompson, 20, of 26 Carson Lane, Bristol, Tenn., is charged with aggravated assault. A police report says she asked the alleged victim, "what kind of white boy are you," and threatened to get her father, who's supposedly imprisoned for murder, to "fix" him.

According to a report at the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was called to a home on Paperville Road shortly before midnight. A 28-year-old man reported he was watching the Miss Universe pageant with his girlfriend, Thompson, who was not present when police arrived.

According to the victim, when Mexico's Navarrete was crowned winner, Thompson started "bashing" his Hispanic friend. When the alleged victim asked her to stop, she allegedly called him, "a Mexican lover."

"He stated the more he asked her to stop the more violent she became," reads the deputy's narrative. "He stated she then threw a measuring tape at him and it hit him in the left side of the face underneath the eye."

The victim, who police say had a red mark on his face, claims to have walked away from Thompson. But she allegedly followed him, asking, "what kind of white boy are you." He told police his mother had to step between the two and tell Thompson to leave.

"He stated she then kept on threatening him with her father's name," reads the report." He stated she said her father is in prison for murder and stated her father would fix him."

The witnesses say Thompson finally left the home, walking down Paperville Road. Bristol police later located her at her home on Carson Lane. She allegedly told officers, "the same story as the victim," and was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Police say she was transported to the Sullivan County jail without incident. The measuring tape was collected and placed into evidence.
