A Kingsport motorist was arrested Wednesday afternoon after her vehicle was found blocking the entrance to a gas station at a busy intersection, while she laid across the passenger seat with her legs hanging out the door.

Bobbie K. Cato, 35, of 1075 Lynn Garden Dr., was charged with DUI. She allegedly, "spontaneously uttered" to police that "the only drugs" in her system were Xanax, Lortab and Phenergan.

According to a Kingsport police report, and officer was dispatched to Zoomerz, 1673 Fort Henry Drive, at about 4:20 p.m. A caller advised that a 1992 Toyota Celica had pulled into the parking lot, with a woman who appeared, "heavily intoxicated," exiting the vehicle and entering the store.

Police responded to find the car, "positioned in the middle of the parking lot and blocking an entrance." The report says the keys were in the ignition, while Cato was, "lying in the front passenger seat with the door open and legs hanging out."

The officer reports Cato had bloodshot eyes, constricted pupils and speech that was, "barely intelligible." She allegedly denied drinking alcohol or taking any drugs.

After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, Cato was arrested and charged with DUI. While having her blood drawn for testing at Holston Valley Medical Center, she's alleged to have, "spontaneously uttered that the only drugs which would show up in her blood draw were Xanax, Lortab and Phenergan."

After the blood draw, Cato was transported to the city jail for booking.
