"Over the last 24 hours, it just feels like from where I sit, the negotiations are sort of running away from us, and it feels like the goal posts are continually being moved," the Chattanooga Republican said.
For the second day in a row, Senate Republicans blocked debate on a plan that Democrats are pushing to overhaul the nation's financial system. The vote was 57-41, short of the 60 needed to begin discussion on the bill. Republicans say they favor financial regulatory reform but want to see significant changes to the legislation.
