Lots of snow means business booming for wrecker services

When the roads get icy and your car slides into a ditch, area wreckers are on call to winch it out for you. And this winter, wreckers and tow truck operators have been called a lot.
Business has increased for Brown’s Mill Towing, 3609 N. Roan St., by 15 percent to 20 percent from past years, owner Jim Davis estimated.
“This has been a lot worse winter than, say last winter or the winter before it,” Davis said. “And as a matter of fact, of the past five winters, this has been the worst.”
