Man charged with kidnapping; allegedly bound and threatened girlfriend after her request to end Pigeon Forge vacation

According to the Knoxville News Sentinel, an Indiana man is awaiting trial on allegations he handcuffed and bound his girlfriend while threatening to bash her head with a hammer and remove her fingernails with pliers.Ernest H. Pyle, 45, of Milan, Ind., is in jail in lieu of $250,000 bond as he awaits trial on charges of aggravated kidnapping and resisting arrest, according to Pigeon Forge Police Chief Jack Baldwin.Pyle allegedly held his girlfriend, 30-year-old Kathy Miller of Cincinnati, captive for two days before she was able to escape her binds and seek aid from a motel clerk, Baldwin said.
