Tracey A. Roberson, 37, who is expected to be sentenced Monday in Hamilton County Criminal Court, could receive more than 100 years in prison if Judge Rebecca Stern chooses to impose the maximum sentence on each of eight convictions, including aggravated rape and especially aggravated kidnapping. "The state of Tennessee contends the defendant to be a dangerous offender whose behavior indicates little or no regard for human life," Executive Assistant District Attorney Neal Pinkston states in his sentencing motion. "Consecutive sentencing would be reasonably related to the severity of the convicted offenses."
Requests for consecutive sentencing are rare, according to the district attorney's office. In most cases when a person is convicted of more than one offense, sentences run concurrently.
